Nurses Cottage stands in approximately 1 acre of organic garden with shrubs, vegetables and herbsEnvironmentally friendly self catering accommodation in the tranquil and beautiful Herefordshire countryside; our focus is on your comfort, convenience and health.

Food on table Nurses Cottage has a large organic garden with flowers, vegetables and herbs, a solar heated swimming pool, and comfortable rooms with unspoilt cottage character. The farmhouse kitchen / dining area has exposed beams, an oak table seating up to 8 people, electric cooker, gas hob, Rayburn & fridge.

KitchenRelax in our large living room with comfortable chairs and enjoy the south facing windows with views of the garden and countryside beyond. The large conservatory with tables and seating for up to 20 has east and south views across the Golden Valley.

Untreated timber and natural oils, waxes & natural non-toxic paints and cleaning materials have been used to ensure pollution-free interiors. Part of our energy demand is sourced from our own solar panels, (with backup for cloudy days!). This, together with our wildlife-friendly garden, has won Nurses Cottage the Herefordshire Nature Trust’s Gold Award for wildlife conservation, and the Green Business Award for eco-friendly business management.

The Cottage has excellent views across the valley, and is a convenient location to explore the Golden Valley and the Black Mountains. On a clear day, there are spectacular views of the Malverns and Cotswolds with views of Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons only a few minutes walk away.
